3 9 9. BEWARE OF SOY PROTEIN .-soy protein has made a comeback in recent years because of some studies that suggest it can lower -ne risk of certain cancers. Unfortunately soy can also elevate estrogen levels. This is not a problem :or females, but for a hard-training male bodybuilder, elevated levels of a female hormone is not a desirable quality. Given that soy protein mixes poorly and has been known to cause gas, we suggest you avoid soy protein.
