127. STATIC STRETCHING Static stretching involves moving into a designated position slowly and holding for 15 to 25 seconds. Holding for less time than this will not affect the muscle enough to cause a physiological change in length. Holding for more time than this can actually cause muscle tearing and injury. Static stretching is best performed at the end of your workout
