3 54. STORING MEAT For both health and taste reasons, meat shouldn't be kept for more than two to three days. For maximum freshness keep it in the coolest part of your freezer or refrigerator. As with vegetables it's a good idea to rinse the meat with water as soon as you bring
it home. It's also a good idea to discard the store wrapping and rewrap the meat in foil. Under no circumstances should you put cooked meat back in the original wrapping. That's a great way to get food poisoning. Captured by ABBYY TextGrabber
