39. EXERCISE SPEED
Exercise speed is another name for tempo. Our ad- vice is to use a 2-2 exercise tempo when starting out. This means take two seconds to raise the weight and two seconds to lower it again. With time you can ex- periment with ultra-fast reps (explosive training) and ultra-slow reps (10 seconds or more).
