If you decide to see how strong you are on a few of the exercises (squats and bench presses usually being the guilty parties), limit the testing to once a month. one-rep maximums place a lot of stress on the stress on the soft connective tissues such as ligaments and cartilage. they also tend to stress out the muscles and tendons. make sure you have a trusted spotter behind you in case youmiss the lift attempt
